Seasoning salmon with citrus has always been my practice. But one time I didn't have the required ingredients and I experimented with orange marmalade. What an explosion of flavor the orange created. It was the best salmon I had ever made. I won't be going back to my old recipe any longer.
Fish is always an easy meal and this salmon recipe is no different. A simple mixture of marmalade, soy sauce and garlic and it is ready to pop it in the oven. In 20 minutes this entree is complete and ready to eat.
I only made two filets but there is plenty of the orange sauce mixture for 4. I know this will be a recipe you will use again and again. Enjoy!
Ingredients
- 1/3 cup orange marmalade
- 2 tbsp soy sauce
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 salmon filets (1 1/4 to 1 1/2 inches wide)
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1/4 tsp salt
Directions
Combine the orange marmalade, soy sauce and garlic.
Place the salmon filets on a foil lined baking sheet. Sprinkle the salt and pepper on the salmon. Spread about 3/4 of the mixture over the salmon. Bake at 425 degrees for 12-15 minutes depending on the thickness of the filets. The salmon should flake easily when tested with a fork.
Spread the remaining mixture on the filets and place under the broiler for 2-3 minutes or until it browns. Serve immediately.
